Broken Link Removed I just bought a pack of these for when we finish converting the van, thought they would be easy to store (y) They’d got a stemmed version too but I thought these were more compact. Apologies if this is not the right section, I’m new to this forum!

It is not breaking the galss that worries me - it is spilling the wine in it.

We use whiskey glassesfor wine as their heavy bases make them more stable even on a sloping table.
I’ve solved that one........🤪😂👍🏼

yes, very true, spilling it would be a disaster  Whiskey glasses are a good idea(y)

Are they actually glass as it says in the advert "glass like appearance"

No, sorry my OP was unclear! they are made from Tritan. They aren’t as nice to drink from as actual glass, but they don’t feel like usual plastic glasses imo.

There was a scare about ten years ago regarding oestrogen like chemicals leaking from BPA plastics like Tritan, worries it can harm children.

Tritan does not contain BPA

I hadn’t heard of that. But Tritan is BPA free according to my quick google.

I realise that the OP was for 4 wine glasses at £4.99 and they are unbreakable... have a look at stainless steel wine glasses both stemless and stemmed on Amazon.. bit dearer I understand but maybe nicer than drinking from any "plastic" glasses... just a thought.. 18.99 for stemless for 4 or 16.99 for 2 stemmed versions... they also have much dearer versions

I have been looking for 'nice' glasses but cannot find any very helpful I will have a look but will probably miss out they are sold out on line

I follow up with the stainless steel scare,

We carry 2 Real Glass Wine Goblets, 2 whisky type tumblers, they dont weigh much, yes they can break, but having tried many plastic ones over the years, they spoilt my enjoyment, some blue tinted ones even started peeling when a single malt was poured.:eek::eek:
As for payload weight issues, if you were to remove one tin of beans out of the pantry, that weight would more than cover the weight of our proper glasses combined.(y)

Being sensible for a mo, I do realise there are instances where plastic is more appropriate for safety, like when children are involved, but they dont drink my wine or whisky....I have Ginger Wine, and Sweet Sherry for them:giggle:
Cheers everyone, bring your own tipple glass when you visit us.:giggle:

Or if you want the "real" thing. We've got these.

Can't stand drinking out of plastic glasses so we use these Ikea wine glasses - they're cheap and very tough. They're actually some old glasses we bought about 15 years ago which were stored in the back of the cupboard....we've since moved on to prettier ones for the house but these are plenty tough enough for the MH. We've only broken one since we started motorhoming so we've still got plenty left!

The current version of the IKEA glass is not a patch on the earlier one. It was thicker glass with a slightly shorter stem and as you say very substantial. We looked at the current version ( assume cheaper to make) and ruled them out as too vunerable to breaking.

There’s some good options :giggle: I’ll stick with the ones I’ve bought now because I need the money to spend on the van. Or the wine:LOL: cheers to you all!

Oooh I didn't know that....now I'm going to be paranoid about breaking them and running out
