UK Motorhome insurance for expats

A friend resident in Cyprus would like to buy and keep a Motorhome for holiday use in the UK and mainland Europe and is having difficulty finding insurance cover because he is not UK resident. Does anyone know of an insurance company in the UK that can provide him with cover?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Could try Advantage Insurance Ltd, a broker in Chippenham.

They were able to provide insurance for me through the underwriter Ageas, which was the only one I could find in the UK to provide cover for storing our van in Spain for 6 months.

This company may be able to help. An Australian couple I know of keep their van in the UK for touring Europe and insured through them.

Have they looked at insuring it in Cyprus? Many compaies are legally able to cover UK & other foreign vehicles using affiliated companies .
Abbeygate & Ibex come to mind .
