UK in low season

Am due to return to the UK from France for 6 weeks next month. Have become accustomed to all towns and most villages having an aire d'étape over here.
Am planning to begin by travelling from Folkestone to Minehead to visit an elderly relative. I'd like to break the journey once or twice but most sites seem to be closed or stupid expensive... any alternatives or recommendations?

Try some of the haven sites, they do midweek specials 5 nights for about £45 and all facilities. You may find one near to Minehead.

Try search for sites loads of options from pub stopover to free parking we use it all the time.

Thank you, hadn't heard of the first one. Have started to look on Park4Night and that's given me some useful ideas ?
