Are our Michelin Agilis M+S tyres fitted on our motorhome adequate for the A75 in France, in particular between the Millau bridge and Clermont Ferrand? We are due to drive there next week and I note snow is expected. We don't have snow chains.
Any views whether we are being foolish (apart from leaving sunny Spain to return to Blighty via a few weeks in France).

Well they won’t be as good as snow tyres but apart from that it’s down to how much snow and will they clear it efficiently, could always use the coastal route if you are worried.

We were hoping to pass down the A75 in a week or so and cannot see any signs of snow. Which forecast are you looking at?

BBC Weather. Searched for Montpellier then scrolled down to long range forecast then look on Wednesday 4th March.

No such thing as snow tyres!

Summer
All-Season
Winter

M+S Indicates they are designed for improved traction on mud and snow

Snowflake/Mountain/3 peaks represents Winter tyres.

In Answer to the OP.

Depends on the Drive type, weight and distribution of weight on your motorhome. Some FWD motorhomes get poor traction, others do not.

I think you will be fine and its not foolish if you have M+S tyres.

BBC says Sunny intervals, maximum of 15 degs and 7 degs overnight. Forecasts I was looking at are nearer 9 degs during day and about 2 degs at night, but rain, not snow. Think your image shows night temperature ie 1am

OK but I would still say that 3PMSF as a winter or all seasons gives better grip in the snow than a M+S.

Many all season tyres have 3peak symbol so not full winter tyres... Just means they have better winter abilities than those without.

Join the foolish brigade Borr!
We're leaving Sanluca de Barrameda (near Cadiz) today after 48 days of glorious weather.
Mrs Biggus checked the weather on the route home last night (Chunnel booked 11th March),,,
looks decidedly grim! ?☹️

Sorry, I meant to add that the 3 peaks are on some all-season tyres.

Yes... all the 3peaks symbol means is that they have met the official MINIMUN standard for snow traction.
