The main monitor battery needs replacing, so i wrote to tyrepal, this was the reply.

'We are unable to supply the lithium battery for the monitors any longer, as they are difficult to import.
We recommend that a new Solar Colour Pro monitor is purchased to replace the monitor.
Please provide your billing and delivery address by email if you wish to order a new monitor.'

Disappointed.

Very poor service. Just because it is difficult. 🤷🏼‍♂️

That's a very poor show, at about £40 a pop you're better off getting a complete cheapo chinese system for £20. (though not bought from China).

I found this:

Have you tried Cool Components?

Dunno about tyrepal batteries, I was looking for the rubber boots on the valves and can’t see any on their website🤷‍♂️

I replaced mine with a standard lithium battery available almost everywhere, just look for the numbers on the existing battery which denote the size of battery you need. My replacement works perfectly well.
As for the rubber boots they are available on the Tyre Pro website ( I have bought some there before I just can't remember how to find them) at £1 a set plus p+p, which is more expensive than the boots themselves so it's best to order a few sets at once as the p+p remains the same.
Hope this helps.

Just found some on tyrepal website, I’m sure they wasn’t there last time I looked!
All ordered thanks👍

I've just remembered that it wasn't my TyrePal battery I replaced with a standard battery but my gas tank level monitor so please ignore my earlier thread about battery replacement. Old age is really starting to take it's toll!

Lithium batteries in most products are often a standard battery. I have a Bluetooth GPS receiver it's not been made for a few years found a battery for it on ebay.

Agree, that is a disappointing reply from TyrePal.

How long have you had the system? Ours must be well over ten years old (pre-solar / colour model), but never had a problem with the monitor display - just plug in periodically to recharge when the battery is getting low.

Replace the wheel-sender batteries about every 3 years.

All has been good so far...

The battery appears to have expired on my solar monitor.

Does any one know if you can replace this as techie stuff like this isn’t my strong point 🙄

As far as I'm aware the battery in the Solar Monitor is like, most mobile phones, etc nowadays, non-replaceable (well, easily!).

"No user serviceable parts inside" always prompts a response from me of "but I'm not a user I'm a nosey bu**er".:whistle2:

This is generally followed by "Ah so you meant No user or nosey bu**er serviceable parts inside"! So why didn't you say so?:crying:

Hope you didn’t make the same mistake Lenny and I made, we both thought it was 50p for one, Lenny ended up with 16 and me with 32 🤣🤣🤣
It does say “PACK OF 4” 🤷‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣

Latest reply.

Apologies, the price is £72.20 inc VAT and shipping. The Solar Colour Pro monitor only is not available to purchase on our website (email order only), but this is the link to the new complete TPMS kit:

I think I'll get one for £40 from Amazon.

Yes, I've since bought the pro version with 4 sensors for one of my cars as the cheap Chinese versions kept failing on me after a few months. It's worth asking the question by email though to get a definitive answer. I've always found them really helpful TBH.
