Hi all sorry if SEB, can anyone recommend a decent inflator that will blow up my moho tyres . The pressures should be 60 psi. I have a Ring electric one which is ok for the car and bikes but takes forever and wont pump up the moho, in fact if i continued with it the pump will burn out.

I bought this model in 2015 and its still going strong, the only problem with mine is the gauge which isnt too accurate so I use a seperate pressure gauge. They do newer models which might have addressed the problem..

Amazon product ASIN B00CYC6NIK

i bought a RAC 900 ring battery operated from Halfords £75 2weeks ago..........................absolutely brilliant and my tyres are 80psi!!

Another RAC 900 owner - use it for tyres and air suspension :xThumb:

I use a £12-99 Lidl compressor - takes it's time but works great

I use a stirrup bike pump, ok for small inflation of 5psi but no more.
Although new the tyres were 5 psi low compared with the book.
Got a tyrepal now so can monitor the pressures and do small adjustments when drop a bit.
I suppose I should get a better inflator for the future.
Although I got a spare wheel I also got the goo repair kit.
Is the inflator provided any good or just for emergency use?

Hi.
If you are not running the engine while using the pump, try switching it on while pumping...Works for me,the thing tries to get airborne, mine are at 66/69 psi. Its an old (Now) circular Michelin uinit, B&Q Wednesday buy..Love it

Stirrup pump for me as well, much quicker than the little 12v electric ones and a good workout if you need to take a decent size tyre from nothing to 50psi, yes I have(y) but it went straight back down as it had a bolt in.

And it will do your push bike as well.

If your van comes with the repair kit rather than a pair wheel there's a very good tyre compressor in the kit.

My Rac900 on second use has air escaping from the brass connector at the top of the main unit, going to have to send it back to Amazon :xsad:

Got to love Amazon return process took all of 20 seconds to complete, Hermes delivering a new one tomorrow and collecting old one same time. Cant complain at that can you :xThumb:

The one supplied blew a 25 amp fuse on the Ducato when I used it. Will the RAC one do the same?

I’ve got the RAC700 and that blows fuses if I try and turn it on when on valve but works fine if I turn it on and then connect to valve.

Was that clipping directly on to the battery terminals or was it powered through the likes of a cigarette lighter?

i got a combined starter battery tyre inflator which works fine from its own power source, from machine mart, about 100
