Years ago when brother in law was HGV driving (running little bent at times) he got a job to drive to Southampton to pick up two 20' both well over 20 ton, inspite of that he had them both loaded and drove back to Felixstowe on the way back he burst 3 tyres on the trailer, the tyre company sent him a bottle of whisky as he was the tyre burst champion that month. :xgrin:

I hadn’t spotted the block of wood till above query, we can’t lift all of our wheels off the ground, we can do one side at a time for tyre fitters though, never had all wheels off at same time

our suspension let’s the wheels hang quite a long way down , think I would need bigger blocks than yours to get all mine off the floor

Yes the block of wood is just to bridge the drain cover, the hydraulics will get all the wheels off the floor "just".

Had me worried though as I jacked it up and they took all the wheels off and fitted new tyres then they wouldn't go back on as the tyres were "new", luckily there was a little bit left on the rams.
