I'm an oldbie MH number 10
I would like two "QUALITY" folding bikes.... not electric as I am yet to reach the age or fitness level whereby I need that assistance..

Need to be quality and I would like two... that's one for me and one for Nikki before you ask.

must be good condition, geared and at a price that makes me think they are worth it.

What have You?

Are you looking fir matching pair? . I have one Raleigh which was replaced by our brommy. I’ll get a piccie later. Cream

Have a look at my Bickerton, in my opinion you cant get better. Only one I am afraid but you could get another from e bay

Do you want Bromptons Paul as I I know someone who has used theirs once so most likely won’t be coming out again:LOL:

Hells teeth Paul, you will hate them after your road bikes.

ha ha.. ain't that the truth ..

I tried one and thought.. no way.. would rather walk

serious.. on tarmac they are ok for a run to the shops and poodling about town.. but if you plan longer trips or using on track or trails.. forget it, unless you get the a 24in wheel models which are rather bulky when folded.. and never as good as a non folder..

I have a matching pair of black 5 speed Brompton’s, but we are in France. We will be back in the UK over Christmas if you are interested in them.

We sat on quite a few different ones before buying Dahon Ciao D7 for me and my wife.
Ours are converted to electric but the basic bikes are the same.

Watch out for sitting position, some seats are too close to the handlebars for comfort.
Watch out for how they fold, some are difficult and others are larger folded.
Watch out for weight.
Not all gearing is equal!
We found 20" wheels were the smallest we were comfortable with, for potholes, jittery steering and gearing.

jezport,

We have two folding Dahon bikes and thinking of having them converted to electric. Could you tell me please who did the conversion?

Many thanks

Here’s mine,

With carbon fibre chainrings, custom carbon fibre flat pack rack and custom 24” trispoke,

All packs into a suitcase if you have 30 minutes and then 2 weeks clothes go around the outside as packing,

Martin

What do s that bottle under the seat lubricate:D

I suspect its not to lubricate but rather save having to make 'pi**' stops!:D
