For those of you who like wheels and wings you need to visit the Technology museums in Speyer and Sinsheim.
I took Cyril my Burstner motorhome and we did 1000km round trip. Here’s a little video of the trip.

These two where on our list to do on a trip this September but due to the virus had to cancel ,maybe next year now 👍

Well as you can see the museums are open, once the quarantine rules are dropped you can make it. They’re both well worth it

Superb museums, been to both. Can also recommend Mercedes museum at Stuttgart. Mulhouse is next on my list.

Did the one at Speyer well worth the visit along with the town
Sinsheim probably next time we are passing

My next museum trip, hopefully in a couple of weeks will be to the marine museum in Laboe, northern Germany where there’s a WW2 German submarine (U995) which you can go in. The campsite is just up the road which is super handy.
After watching ‘Das Boot’, I’ve always been interested in seeing what the inside of a submarine was like.

St nazaire is another good u boat museum, original cockleshell heroes pen albeit the sub is French

The stellplatze is attached to the Museum site at Speyer , and there is one at the Schwimbad in Sinsheim , a medium walk from the museum .

If i remember correctly the stellplatz for speyer was a suavecarve restricting 20 euros.
If you go past the museum entrance with it on your right. Do a left at end of road and first left and you can park with other flts against the rhine for nothing and 15 mins walk to museum.
I have no idea if you entrance to museum cheaper if you stay on their land.

BMW Museum in Munich and Zeppelin in Friedrichshafen you can also go for a trip in a Zeppelin (from the local airfield not the museum)

The museum of the blind in Hamburg is pretty special.

IIRC it was about 20 E but there was a discount on Museum entry , that was 2018 . It included EHU , which powered my RV aircon , so not too bad . :)
