We all see these signs when towns are twinned with another town in another country.
Most times we cant see anything that would visibly make them twins. This made me think, wouldnt it be nice to have a tread with towns that Funsters have seen that they think should be twinned because they look like another town in another country, it could be due to the buildings, or scenery or anything that makes you think its similar. With ferry costs and uncertainty with Brexit sometimes it can be an advantage to be closer to home.

Anybody got any twins in mind?

Dull in Perthshire is twinned with Boring in Oregon o_O More recently, Bland from Australia joined them in a “tripleting” deal

There a place called Twatt in Orkney but I’m not aware that it’s twinned with anywhere else ;)

Ok, so here’s another one ..... there’s a place called “Lost” in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire....... the roadsign famously keeps getting nicked and replaced by the council

Please tell me there’s somewhere called “Found” ;)

Scarborough should be twinned with Pripyat, Ukraine.
Both suffered the aftermath of a chain reaction, one from a nuclear disaster, one over motorhome parking.
Both suffer a nuclear winter.
One is deserted, the other should be.
