Hi all

Decided to have a go at connecting to the INET box in van but don’t seem to be able to get past the ‘start update’ problem. It seems without this I can’t use it?

Would appreciate any ideas. Currently using IPhone 11 tried both the old (Truma) app and the new (INET) app. Also reset the box each time with the 20 second hold

Thanks

I am on android but had some Bluetooth connection issues, which I resolved by removing Truma Inet from my phone's list of Bluetooth devices and then re-establishing the bluetooth link via the long press on the Bluetooth button on the Inet box and then re-pairing from scratch.
You are correct that it should allow the firmware update via Bluetooth, and you do not need to be on EHU.

I had a problem once which was only resolved when I updated my phone to new iOS. No idea why but it worked. It’s possible the version on your phone and the update on inbox aren’t compatible. I actually don’t know how it works but that is what the dealer had me doing to sort it out

Thanks for that. Tried and still not getting past the update issue.

Pretty sure there was an issue with the app on the iphone 11 as they took forever to release the updated firmware for it to work, if i were you i would try and get hold of another phone i.e. an android phone and try the update on this, once its updated you can go back to your phone.

For reference my hardware version shows 1.3.4 and the Firmware version shows 3.1.5, iNet app is on 5.0.2.0

Give the Truma helpline a ring on Tuesday on 01283 587960

They were very helpful when I had a failed update on my iNet X panel.

Cheers for this. Have tried on wife’s iPhone (not iPhone 11) same result. Will have to wait till home to try on android.

If not working on another iphone then its unlikely to work on an android, did you put the iNet into pairing mode by holding the button in on the device (usually it flashes i think when it's in pairing mode). I put a blade fuse near mine to make it easier to do this, as sometimes it doesn't go into pairing mode just by holding the button in.

Yes, think I’ve now got it paired but the problem seems to be that the INET box needs an update but that’s when it seems to stick (attached pic on original post). Just a thought but if it’s not been used for a while do I need to do anything on the actual control panel to reset that too? I can get it to where it says ‘no tin devices attached’ it then does a scan and says successfull but still not remote control available as then goes back to ‘no tin devices connected.
Also, have now put a SIM card in which seems to have worked. Received a text this morning asking if I wanted to check status. Then got a text telling me battery voltage but heating etc was just blank.

So mine is different as i have al Alde heating system and the iNet box actually connects directly to a port on the boiler and not on the back of the control panel like some have it. Not sure if yours is the same, but that's where mine is connected, and it's been working for the last 8 years. Originally, when i was looking at installing this, everywhere i looked talked about connecting directly to the panel above the hab door, but that was not true, maybe because i have the Alde heating and not the truma equivalent, i am not sure.
