I have had problems for some time heating the water. Now I get warning E122H all the time and have no hot water. the gas cylinders are full and the status display is always green. When I go to turn the regulators off they blow off with the pressure suggesting that there is a blockage. I have read somewhere that this may be caused by oil deposits and have seen that some have oil filters fitted on both gas bottles. Any advice would be very welcome. I assume the warranty will cover any repairs as the motorhome (Pilote P600) is only a year old.

Presumably you have other gas appliances running off the same cylinder/s (Hob, oven, fridge?). Do any of those work? If so, that would imply that the gas supply is fine, and the problem is just with the water heater.

The gas pipework in a Motorhome does hold a positive pressure, which is why you can light a hob burner with the gas bottle turned off, and it will burn for a short while. It is difficult to suggest what to look for, without knowing what model of Truma water heater you have. If you could identify that, with a model number, I am sure someone on here will know what you should look at or for!

Good luck!!

Hola JFD,
Thanks for your reply. Indeed the gas hob works, and when I tried the heater again for the hot water, at the second attempt it, it worked, so no blockage. I will just have to persevere and if the problem continues, go back to the dealer. Thanks again.

Just a quick thought: Do you make sure that the Truma heater is filled with water before you try to turn it on? We always drain down after returning home, in case of frost and, before the next use, also run water through the whole system, hot and cold, before turning the heater on.
