Hello all,
This is only our second trip in the winter and we are having problems with our Truma combi 4
The heater comes on initially but after a short period of time it just cuts out. It worked perfectly well last night, this has just happened this morning.
Sometimes when it cuts out and I turn it to the off position it starts flashing red and green, other times this doesn't happen.

Also trying to open the boiler but can't figure out how to do that either!!

Any help would be much appreciated.......we are starting o get cold....!!

Many thanks

Does this help? Not sure they are there today though. Looks like a H/O number

Hi David and Sally

Many thanks for replying! We have tried both those numbers but with no luck.

Many thanks, anyway!

We don't have a screen with our combi, just a dial. We will try a 15min. power down!

It's usually a sign of low gas pressure or 12v leisure battery running low.

If you have a second gas bottle, try switching to that. I assume your gas is propane and NOT butane ? Could also be a problem with the gas regulator.

Thanks to everyone for their advice. Wish we'd thought of the fan heater! We're now back home warming up in front of a log fire......luckily we hadn't gone too far away!

I had similar problem a few months ago. Turned out to just be a loose fuse on the boiler circuit board. Just squeezed the clip holding the fuse so it was tighter and all was then well. Was able to access the circuit board from inside the m/h by unscrewing a panel under the sink then access was easy enough. Might not be your issue but may be worth a look.

Many thanks, Richard and Karen! We'll have a look at that.
No criticising but It’s always useful if you can say what van you have and if possible pictures of said item it will help others to assist if they know what they are dealing with post as much info as possible and 9 times out of 10 you’ll get a solution.?
If you google Truma flash codes you will find a list of the faults and codes.?

The circuit board is under a small black casing on the top/side of the boiler just take of cover and you sho7ld be able to see small leds flashing as Ash has said it’s easy to misread them just take your time and count long and short flashes like morse.?

Many thanks, again, everyone for your help. Our van is a Giottiline. It doesn't have a control panel screen but we have found flashing led lights.

Red light indicates any fault that has caused the boiler to shut down.
The led on the boiler indicates what it thinks the problem was that caused shut down

write the long short code down like _ _ _ ... _ _ ... would read 3 long 3 short 2 long 3 short. Then google truma long short fault code and translate the code to words.

The fault code chart I've just downloaded (dated 2010) has 2 columns. 1st column shows 4 flashes and 2nd column another 4 flashes (long or short). 8 flashes in total.

I guess Truma changed from flash codes to panel codes when they brought in the CP panel in around 2016 ??

I googled Truma blink fault codes (the Germans seem to use "blink").

Perhaps the OP could update his profile, so we know in future his MH type, date of registration, base vehicle chassis and approx home location.
