Hi used the van this weekend I when we run the heating. It's a gas only unit. If it'd set on 9 it works a treat no problems but if I turn it down it stops working. It doesn't ramp down speed then stop. Also doesn't switch on if it's cold and set on anything other than 9.
Any ideas

Yeah new stat is only £12 so will start with that I think.

We had a diesel powered heater in our Chausson and it did the same, it turned out to be the room thermostat which was at fault.
