I have got some round push in style knobs on a locker in the boot of my van that seems to regularly stick. Usually if I push the door with the heel of my hand it is enough to release them but yesterday they were particularly troublesome. Can anyone suggest any lubricant I can use or offer any help to solve this sticky problem?

Is it the knob that is the problem or the bar/catch on which it acts? It might be worth looking to see if the bar needs a bit of adjustment (maybe a screw needs tightening?).
