I can see it now, in the future these will be the only way you can empty your cassette under new Caravan Club "health & safety" rules, at £5 a time of course.

It's not exactly difficult or time consuming to empty the thunderbox. I would also doubt it takes as long (3mins) as that machine.
Seems that they're trying to fix a non-existent problem.

I agree BUT there are some with week stomachs who will pay to avoid doing it.

Seems like a good idea so long as it's optional. Wouldn't want chemicals .. maybe there's an option for that

You've still got to take the cap off, and thus get a nostril full of "sweet aroma" :)

Surely it's bad luck to do April Fools jokes this early ;)

No thanks...

Hang on that one puts the cap on
its mechanical, Its electrical.
Q. where does one "RENT" a spare cassette from when it go's Tits up and the engineers 3 days away
Or my cassette comes back out covered with!!!
Do I want to handle my cassette after its been through a multiple population S**t swilling machine ? NO
Have i faith in its fully automated hygiene systems NO!!!
Me thinks not, some one should direct the CC to a few of these posts!!
especially to the board of directors who voted these in and have never ever used a caravan or motor home
G
PS I seriously suspect the supposed addition of chemical + two ltrs (of what) is to discuise the fact it cant gaurantee to fully empty when its finished:sick:

Pity the poor sod who is locked in side the "machine" beavering away when you put the cassette in. Perhaps this is what George meant when he said we need to work like the Chinese?

I cant see why, after all, it's only chewed bread (y)...... And anyway, is this Thetford's way around no one wanting to buy their grossly inflated cleaning and sanitising additives?

Thetford pre-pay card or contactless payment card.

Not a very well signed campsite the bloke in the first video is on wandering and the woods looking lost or was he just planing to dump his box contents in the wood and do a runner until he got caught by the thetford lady.;)

I think empting the toilet isn't that bad we have a Trog so no chemicals wouldn't want to pay to dump my toilet pay enough site fees over the years with out being ripped off by Thetford and having to put there not so environmentally friendly chemicals

This machine, in its trailer, was by the reception area for the motorhome parking at Dusseldorf. All the side panels were removed from the cleaner to enable people to see what was going on. It seemed to do a good job of the cleaning, except for the cap still being a bit stained.

I might be tempted to use a facility like that about once a year, but not for every emptying.

I wonder how it works?? Do Thetford employ a midget to climb inside with a brillo pad?? On second thoughts, could be. Plenty of tight little people in Norfolk..........(y)
