I usually travel sans medical insurance but the lady in my life is concerned about travelling abroad without any, having just had a quick look at 'compare the markets' site it just adds to the confusion here.
Can any of you good people advise me of a reputable company for a couple of young over 70s please, damn why couldn't I have been born later, I blame my parents for that

Definite essential. I use LV and they have proved there worth. In 2016 I had a heart attack in the South of France. They were faultless in every way. The next year my policy doubled but last year it reduced dramatically due to the withdrawal of certain medication. Not the cheapest but have proved themselves excellent when needed.

Oh Norman, bugger the insurance Q, I want to know about your romance. So pleased to hear you have a new woman in your life. (y)

If travelling for 30 days or less, then try Eurotunnel insurance. You don’t have to be travelling with them. Over 70s can only get single trip cover but you don’t have to go through medical questionnaires. They only ask that you confirm that if asked, would your doctor state that you are fit to travel.

It never occurs to me. The wife asked once who I was insured with......

Sandra,
Remember the lady at the Dumfries rally, same lady, boring or what, must dash here off to bed (y);)

I would not dream of travelling with no insurance, 2 years ago my dad had a mild heart atack in cyprus, cost £50,000.00.
He hadn’t disclosed he had a replacement knee 2 years earlier so they withheld £5000 which he had to pay.
