How did they manage to get flights if it was known they wouldn't be let in? Who paid for the return flight? Have they had to quarantine?Hi had some friends sent back to England from Alicante airport Spanish police not allowing English people in has anyone managed to get there on the ferries or are they turning you back at the ports
gus-lopez will know the local rules. All I know is they got off the plane and the police would not let them in seems airlines don’t care as long as they sell tickets just heard from a mate who has an apartment in Spain and she’s saying the same some of her friends were turned back even though they were going there to sort out there apartments for renting
Don't know anymore than we have been told, but surely anyone doing the same would find out before traveling what the rules are, otherwise it's just money down the drain, apart from anything else.Spain is not on the red list...........is it? So presumably they would not have to quarantine on the return from Alicante airport.
I didn't think we could leave the country before 17th May.
Well that's what I thought but obviously some people view it differently. From the BBC website:
At the moment, people in England face a £5,000 fine for having a holiday abroad!

Emirates Airline wouldn't let us board for Frankfurt a couple of months ago.Airlines will let you fly, maybe even knowing you won’t get in. Doesn’t matter if they have to fly you back for free. Planes are almost empty anyway.
Not that I know of as long as you comply.Hi had some friends sent back to England from Alicante airport Spanish police not allowing English people in has anyone managed to get there on the ferries or are they turning you back at the ports
As others have stated no entry for non-eu,includes UK citizens, until after 31st May at least. All I know is they got off the plane and the police would not let them in seems airlines don’t care as long as they sell tickets just heard from a mate who has an apartment in Spain and she’s saying the same some of her friends were turned back even though they were going there to sort out there apartments for renting
You have to quarantine for 10 days at home returning from anywhere along with day 2 and 8 tests as well.Spain is not on the red list...........is it? So presumably they would not have to quarantine on the return from Alicante airport.

Airlines have recently had to fly the passengers back for free. How did they manage to get flights if it was known they wouldn't be let in? Who paid for the return flight? Have they had to quarantine?
