Probably not one of life’s essentials, but it is handy. We use ours to check status of van (temperature and leisure battery voltage) when stored plus same as Happy1, useful to switch heating on before you get back so it’s all nice & toasty + hot water when you arrive. Some problems with new iPhone models tho’ check yours is compatible.

Yes, use it all the time, handy to even be lazy and control it from bed.

We use ours to control from bed. Think you need a SIM to control out of Bluetooth range. What SIM are you using?

O2 PAYG, no need to top up, but need to use it at least once every 6 months to keep it active.

timetochill The bluetooth is built in to the inet box. The sim card is for when your out of bluetooth area and want to send the box messages.

Yes, think of it as a remote control when you’re in the close vicinity of your van.

Best thing for me is the fact that if you store with electric hookup or keep at home with the heating set very low on mains as soon as the hook up is removed you gat a text, great extra price of security.
