Our car has just passed its first Contrôl Technique. There are some minor issues as set out in the Google translation in the attached photo.
Trouble is I'm not sure what I need to do to rectify the problems or what the causes are.
Drums and or discs slightly used- there are no drum brakes so do they mean there is wear in the discs or the pads or both?
Excessive shifting-what is shifting and where?
With regards to the tyres (pneumatics) abnormal wear, due to tracking? Toeing in or out? Foreign body, nail or something in the tyre?

Any explanations welcomed.

I would suggest the wording is just a generalisation. Why not ask the garage exactly what they mean?

So your advisories are

Discs are slightly worn
Your tracking is out and causing the tyres to wear un evenly and there is possible a foreign object in one of them.
Excessif ripage is the tracking,, (causing car to drift off to one side or "shift")

You can find a PDF listing all the faults from mineure to critique here.

I would interpret the minor faults you've listed as:

Some wear to the discs - there will be a minimum thickness in the vehicle spec. If it was the pads, they are plaquettes.

Tracking needs to be checked - this has probably resulted in some scrubbing or uneven wear which has shown up on the tyres.

Worth a visit to your local garage?

Brilliant, HandyAndy. Now we can have the garage adjust the tracking. Also keep an eye out on the tyres for a puncture and wear on the discs.
Thanks all.
