Been down Devon for the weekend and Satnav took me down some crappy single tracks as usual :(

Anyway, I had to do a few hill starts and reversing and usual stunts to give way or get past oncoming traffic. This gave the clutch some abuse on a few occasions.

3 times, straight after, the clutch seemed to slip for a few seconds, till I eased off the throttle and let it grip again. Then it worked OK again.

I 'tested' the clutch up a few big hills later and all seemed OK :)

Is this just normal ? Or is the clutch on its way out ?

PS, couldn't smell anything nasty (like burning clutch)

Cheers :)

I would take that as a warning and do the clutch as soon as I could... whatever happened you say it was slipping..
What milage has it done and is it likely to be a dual mass flywheel ... .
I've do 50000 in my transit and no signs of slipping yet but read some horrible tales of the dual mass set up failing with little milage and always concerned me...
Hope you get to the cause... I'll watch what others who know more advise..
Ta Andy.

It's done about 150,000 miles :)

Only slipped for a couple of seconds then gripped straight away.
