I havent been underneath to have a check yet but been here https://www.lpgshop.co.uk/leisure-gas-tank-ford-transit-motorhome/ and they only offer 2 options of tank to go underneath for gas. 16 litres worth which doesnt seem worth it or the replacement of 55 litres (probably 44) with removing the spare tyre.
I ll give them a ring next week but I assume the clearance is the issue or do some of the other sizes fit under ?

Both of those would keep the tank well within the chassis rails, whereas many others will fit & still not be below the actual axle

I think that is the issue that is going to force me to go with tanks. Done it before, looks like I am doing it again. Cheers Gus

I had a 2016 chausson 620 on a ford base.. I fitted an underslung tank , but removed the gas locker that they provided to allow me the room to fit it up front just behind the cab.. from memory it was a 44l lpg tank (50l water capacity)..
