Hi, has anyone travelled to Dover Port during the last week - if so did you have any delays getting there, or delays in the Port prior to boarding the Ferry?
Thanks

Drove westbound up the A2/M2 yesterday.
Miles of tailbacks coastbound at exit 5 (to join the M20) and exit 7 (to drive direct into Dover)

The tailbacks are caused by people queue jumping.
A simple line of cones between lane one and two would keep the M2 running and the queues in the left lane.

M20: There is currently a 20 mile tailback between exit 10 (Ashford) and exit 8 (Leeds Castle)
This is mostly lorries queueing for the port, at the moment around 12hrs in the queue for freight

(Plus 2hrs in the port and 2hrs for clearance, plus 2 hrs from load to discharge on the boat and 60 mins to clear Calais.)
20hrs to travel 50 miles.

The lack of working P&O ships has not made a difference yet, but it will by next week when the Easter holidays start.

we drove back along the a20 last friday big tail back of lorries but everything else appeared to be flowing normally

the good old days of three log books

But not if they shuffle forward 1/2 mile in their 10 hour break.

Poa you can legally move, some older tacos if moving very slowly don’t register, or pull a fuse

Will P&O be in business next year?
Plus delayed traffic not wholly due to cross channel capacity I am advised.
Allow plenty of time in my view
