Traffic jam

Anyone else caught up in this traffic just south west of nimes? Over 3 and a half hours since I was stopped for it. No traffic has moved at all for a good 40 minutes

Must be a bad smash or something up ahead.

I wasn't sure if it was going to be a serious smash or a few minor ones all piling up. Shame if folk have lost their lives.

We crawled far enough along for me to nip in to a picnic area. Probably be as well trying to get some kip here for tonight as nothing is moving very far.

La Depeche saying 3 lorries, 3 light vehicles (cars) involved. Sadly 2 deaths, Lanes reduced in the direction of Spain to allow emergency vehicles to access. The traffic in the lanes where the accident occurred looks backed up not moving but may have improved.

Tragic. Some of the lorries don't half drive close to one another here I've noticed. Scarily close sometimes.

No not at all. That's the backlog of traffic cleared up just now. I'm not moving so just parking here for the night. About 20 police vans not long ago zoomed by on the hard shoulder with blues flashing. Don't know what that was about.

Well won't be stopping there again. Had someone at my bike rack at 2am then someone trying my front door at half 4! Had no sleep and now it's bucketing down
