Tracvision aerial

Hi, new to motorhoming and loving it so far. We have a dome style TV aerial (tracvision) which worked okay for a while. Had some other electrical issues which are now resolved but aerial not working any longer. No fuses gone and looks like power okay. Any suggestions or anyone know of someone in Cardiff area who would have a look.

I assume the aerial has an amplifier - does it have a power indicator light?

Thanks, yes the power indicator light comes on. It used to then make a wurring noise as I guess this was it scanning for signal but no longer makes that noise and scan picks up nothing

I am no expert on your areal, but it is a sat dish. So it need to see clear sky, with no trees or buildings in the way, to be able to get the signal. From your original post it seems not to be making the noise you would expect to hear when the disk is tracking the sky. Perhaps the dish needs to be reset after the other electrical problems were fixed.

Hi Pikester the TracVision R series domes must receive LNB voltage from a satellite receiver so double check that your satellite receiver is connected and powered hopefully it should start searching. We have dealers located around the UK so could put you in touch with one for a check over however just a heads up no spare parts are available so if it's terminal then I'm afraid it will be a new system.
