TPLink Newbie - Can Anyone Help Please?

Hi all

I'm just trying to set up my new TPLink and can't access the web management page. I get the following;

I don't normally use apps because my phone doesn't handle them well but I gave it a go and ended up going from 'Install' on Google Play Store to it asking my permission to access my camera etc. When I clicked 'Accept' it took me back to 'Install'....and so it went on.

So, I went back to the page above and clicked on the link at solution 3, which took me to a page asking for my password but, because I haven't set anything up yet, I don't have a password!! Aaarrgghhhhhh!!

I've managed to get on the internet but just can't access the management page.

Can anyone help me, please? Thank you so much :)

PS For information, I'm using Firefox and a VPN on Windows 10 and the SIM card is Vodafone.
 
If setting up for the first time user and password is usually on label on rear of the router. This may be changed later. Often there is a reset pinhole which will put the router back to this default user and password. This is a general comment as no expereince with your router.

The instructions that came with the TP link will tell you what the default password is or where it can be found. Use that and then change it ASAP

Thank you. I've already tried this. The SSID and the password are on the inner casing of the router and these credentials allowed me to connect to the internet. However, the same will not allow me to access the management page. If I enter the password, it says it's incorrect and I only have so many re-tries left. I haven't yet done anything to change the password, so I can't understand why it won't work :(

So, I tried to login on IE instead of Firefox and got this......

Does this look right, please? I don't understand any of this! It won't let me change United States for United Kingdom for a start!

:( I'm lost with it. I don't know what to do. I know I need to change the password but I can't even login to do that. The internet is working fine. Can anyone else help, please?
 
You can only connect to it if it is on the same network.
You need to go into WiFi settings on your phone or laptop and connect to the TP link, you will then be able to connect to it via the app or browser.
 
Be aware that wifi password and router management password will be different.
Try admin for both the user name and password, that is normally default for TPLINK.

Thank you for trying helping me. I was already on the TPLink network on my laptop but it still wouldn't work :(

Have you rebooted it a few times, sometimes my Huawei Mifi won't talk to the app and two or 3 reboots sorts it out.

Yes, that looks right. Just click on the drop down and select the best fit country for you.

Have you rebooted it a few times, sometimes my Huawei Mifi won't talk to the app and two or 3 reboots sorts it out.

Thank you for trying to help me. Yep, rebooted the TPLink and my laptop multiple times to no avail :(

On your ‘phone web browser, do the following (this is from the device manual)

3.4 QuickSetup
3.4.1 Quick Setup via your phone
1. Open a web-browser on your phone or Pads, enter the default address http://tplinkmifi.net or Link Removed in the address field. When the login window appears, enter admin (in lower-case letters) for both username and password, and then click the Login button.
