Hi
hoping to get some more sage advice from the group
i want to have a tow bar fitted to our 2019 Dethleffs motorhome which has an Alko chassis .

it’s to tow a motorbike trailer .

been quoted £995 by a local fitter , for the bar and electrics etc .
that seems a bit steep, or is that about right ?

im in South Devon - any recommendations as to where I can have one fitted

Many thanks

That’s about what we had to pay. It’s not just the towbar, they have to fit extensions to the Alko chassis.

My quote was about 1400. Motorhome towbar are expensive because they aren't mass market.

That sounds very reasonable for Al-ko on our Exsis I it was around £1200👍😊
Had it fitted on the drive by Gary from Bournemouth : 07778 343464 he travels all along South Coast.

Going rate for a car tow bar professionally fitted has hit £500. A coach built motorhome, with all the chassis modifications required will always be more.

It wasn't so long ago the whole car wasn't much more than that
