Tolls in Portugal

Im in Portugal at the moment and have signed up for EASYtoll
not sure if I have used the system correctly.Drove from Porto to Figueira Da Fez
yesterday It states when I signed up that they would deduct tolls from my account
but nothing happened yet drove straight through toll stations and beleived they
just took car registration and then bill me.
Worried a bit that this maybe a scam and I will get a hefty fine as I didnt stop
Any help appreciated

I use the Portuguese via verde system, it often takes a week for the tolls to show up, they always do eventually

ok but I have the EASYtoll has anyone used this system and how long after you pass a toll both will they deduct
the fee ?

The easy toll registration is for motorways with gantry cameras, if you’ve gone through a toll both then the easy toll is not applicable it only covers the Algarve motorways and a few in the north west.

All the Portuguese systems take a few days to show up. However, if in doubt, and 2/3 days have passed, just call in to any paypoint location ( often available at the tobacco kiosk in supermarkets, newsagents etc)) and ask them to check against your reg, anything outstanding will obviously not have come off the tag, and can be paid there and then

We have been going to Portugal since 2007 and never felt the need to use the auto route, it's a wonderful and friendly small country and seems a shame to rush through it.

Plus I'm tight and can think of better things to spend my money On. Bob.
