I’m unable to check the answer to this due to motorhome being in storage, so can anybody help? Do you think I would be able to use the bike rack with the toad attached, from the picture it looks feasible but advice and comments (appropriate ones are welcome. Many thanks.

We have a toad, smart car with a frame and a SYM scooter. You can’t do both at the same time on the tow bar.
You could carry the scooter in a garage whilst towing the toad.
Pay load is the deciding factor.

Yes. For bicycles.
What is it that concerns you? E.g. back axle weight? ( It shouldn't be an issue as far as I can see).

99% sure you'll be OK.

I tested ours with the trailer on when we installed it and turning right on full lock was OK but left was a no no as the bike rack was slightly off set. In your case though the draw bar is longer that ours and your vehicle shape (sloped front) provides lots of clearance.

Why not put bike rack on the toad?

We use stow all mounted bike rack, and we have a tow bar on the toad, so that makes life easy for us

We have a roof box on top and the C1 can’t have a tow bar or rear mounted bike rack.
You can buy a Westfalia bike rack for the C1 which maybe of interest

and also you can buy a tow bar which is only for fixing a bike carrier to But it’s not a cheap option.

Simular problem to me.
You need to fit the bikes and try fitting the A frame to check possible turning interference. I had a towbar mounted bike carrier Old towsure item. Bikes too low. Aquire witter zx88 towbar mounted rack, one now high on left other high on right. Looks ok, but no wet run yet. Probably ok, as is yours . My only concern without seeing bikes up is the position of jockey wheel (not insurmountable) .

? We have a 2 bike fiamma cycle rack fitted to the rear of our moho and toad a fiat 500 without issue. Can’t see how the vehicle turning would foul the bikes. Never had an issue ourselves.

Some of the bike rack fittings are lower down on certain vans and could create a bit of a problem
