So far, without a vehicle, I've managed to rough plan a layout and elekricery...

I use Tinkercad for 3D creation for my 3D printer ... For Printed Circuit Boards KiCad is Open Source and works pretty well.
It's quite cheap to have the PCBs made (and drilled) in China ...
