I have two or very similar to the photo, but better quality...

One is for dirty (Grey) waste and one to drain the fresh water..

The waste water is ok` ish........ but the fresh water is very hard to turn...

Will a squirt of WD40 or similar help... ?

Looks like a throw away thing and not able to dismantle and grease or whatever..

Silicone spray will ease the plastic enough until it has a little wear then it should be a lot easier after a while.

Backing up above. WD40 not a good idea.
Silicon better, big can from Screwfix. 👍

Changed the one on the fresh tank to an electric operated one, have the bits and doing the waste in the summer. Simply press button to open the valve and then to close. So much easier than taking a panel out in the garage and skinning knuckles on sharp metal frames. Could also add a remote kit so I can use my phone to open the valves. So much easier on the back and knees

Not going down that road.... :Eeek:

Just spent out 75p on a cushion, so Judy don`t hurt her knee`s when she has to get down to open the taps ... (y)

They come apart if you rotate the tap until the lugs line up and then just pull the tap off. You can then lubricate with something suitable or investigate why it's stiff.

old-mo. Same reply as others Mo, ie, silicone spray.

It's the dogs doo dahs for many "liquid maintenance" jobs these days. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Also excellent for lubricating the toilet seal and other parts around the van
