Now that HMG have extracted the digit and removed France from their darn lists our Germany trip is now ON! Of course, since leaving the EU and the changes to the imports of food stuffs, does anyone have any recommendations of any SuperMarché just off the A16/E40 where one can re-stock the fridge? Im aware of the massive Carrefore but all I want is an Aldi or Lidle

Nobody checked us for food and they came in the van. I think its an exaggerated mith that has grown arms and legs now. We chose not to bring any food but normally would. I think they are busy enough with covid checks not fridge ones.

Do as much info filling before you travel. It makes a massive time difference.

I haven't been over for years but I'm certain that in common with our supermarkets they'll have a website with a list.

Aldi and Lidl both just off A216 as you leave Calais, Avenue Antoine de Saint-Exupery. 5 mins out of the port. Leave the periphique at junction 3 by the football stadium

There's a Lidl opposite the Ibis just before the Cité Europe buildings. Particularly convenient if you're using the tunnel.
