We pick up our new Motorhome in about 4 weeks and it has a Thule Omnistor awning, however, our current van has a Fiamma and we occassionally use a drive away air Vango awning.

The beading on the current arrangement will apparently not fit the Thule - apparently (too many apparently's..) it needs 6mm and 5mm (not 6mm and 4mm as on the Fiamma). Any idea where i can get this beading?

Also, the new Thule awning does not have a slot in the front like the Fiamma, but I believe it is at the rear - any Funsters familiar with these? If so, any knowledge gratefully received.

And..... the Thule awning has LED strip on it, does this cause problems fitting the drive away awning bead?

Thanks

Have the same on our PVC and have a Vango drive away awning. Purchased the adapter kit from Camping International, Gillingham. They do mail order.

Guess your referring to where you put the handle into? It's dead easy and winds out a treat!

Don't have leds on ours.

Hope this helps.

Mick - Many thanks for the prompt response.

The question regarding the slot was not the handle but the slot/groove that the beading slides into.

Ahh. The Vango adapter has a bead that slides into the Thule and a larger size bead which fit's into a 8 shaped plastic rod, which is in three sections that makes it quite easy to fit. This is turn sklides into the Vango awning.

All works well, however as we founds out on a PVC the Vango opening doesn't line up that well with the sliding door on the PVC. So we didn't fit the drive away bits, just pulled the PVC awning over the Vango.

Thanks for this and also the link of the other post. I have a 6mm to 4mm bead....I guess I will have to wait to see if I need to swap this for a 6mm to 6mm bead.

Appreciate the help.

it's called kador strip and pretty cheap. 3m of 6mm to 6mm £12.99
