First year under our belt!
They seem quite good, and very cheap. Does anyone use one? Any problems?

There's so many of them; any recommendations on the 'best' one?

Yes, no problems and choose one with 8gb internal storage simply because most sellers are clearing 4gb ones at similar price. You'll still need an external tf card too but most sellers don't include this now to bring cost down.

Had mine for two years. Never gets confused, (unlike its mentally ill owner), and worth every penny! Always go for the TRUCK version, not the car! The truck allows you set your height, width and weight, with auto warnings if your approaching a low weight bridge, or a low height one. Much worth the extra few quid. (y)(y)(y)

Mind if I copy that, Graham??? Never seen it before.......(y)
Most certainly you can, it's there purely for your education old chap :)
The latest mount would work better if it was possible to get a cap for 68mm down pipe and glue it in place but my workaround is OK for the moment.

I purchased a Chinese truck sat nav a couple of weeks ago for just less than £36.00 including delivery. It has the iGo mapping which is great and it works fine. I am soooo glad that I didn't spend £300.00 plus on a Garmin or TomTom. :)

Its only quirk is that when it warns me that a 'speed camera' is ahead it does so in a language that sounds like Russian! Everything else is in English so if I hear a Russian lady speaking then I know that there is a speed camera ahead. My Garmin Nuvi just beeped for the speed camera alert so actualy this one is more 'alerting'.

It was under £36.00 what can you loose! :)

Hi Andy, you said that you need a tf card, will it not work without this,or is it just for more storage?

Mine only runs from the card and the card is updated for me by a funster at meets or by post :D

The only problem with mine is that it cuts out the radio to a crackle.....BUT, I think it might be the possibly un-smoothed 12volt plug into the dash cig lighter socket. Just bought a 3.1 amp USB cig plug in unit, will try it on that next time out.

Well, it seems they are definitely worth having so I'll have a furkle through ebay.

Thanks all!

I once had a card crash so I have it set up on both card and unit so that I can change the navigation path if necessary.
I also have a copy card which said Funster will update for me at Peterborough (y):)

More likely you need new valves in your wireless :D

Haha, I'm glad it's just not us! We wondered what the hell was going on when we heard her.

New 7" Chinese Sat Nav in hiding.....

New 7" Chinese Sat Nav discovered.....

And in use........

Apologies for rubbish photos, should have taken them in daylight really, the flash makes the dash look quite scruffy whereas in reality it's in excellent condition. Idea shamelessly stolen from another forum, this reversal of the clipboard works a treat and the satnav fits beautifully. The only slight downside is I have to unplug it to store it - not *quite* enough room to put it in there with the power connector attached. The power supply is now a hardwired one rather than a cigarette lighter jobbie, fed into the back of the newly created storage compartment.

If anyone's interested I'll post up more details on how to do this.

Broken Link Removed
Thanks for the link just ordered one, the price seems too good to be true especially when compared with Garmin single map update. Let's hope mine will be as successful as all the others, if it's not I can always go back to Garmin and put this down to experience.

It's fine and according to listing already has the 2014 maps
I had to get mine updated
