Thetford toilet 'full' led light

When I got my van, 3 years ago, the 'full' led on the toilet (c200) didn't work, i had one in my box of spares so swapped it but no joy, couldn't be bothered to do any more work on it as i can see when it's full
Just been away for weekend and the led has been on all the while, whether its empty or full
Not done anything different this weekend, anybody any clues as to why it should suddenly come on after 3 years?

Is the magnetic float inside the cassette seized?

Take out the cassette, look to the left where the cassette goes in that is where the sensor should be.
Get a magnet and have someone look at the light while you move the magnet against the sensor.
It should go off and on as you activate it.
As said above the float is probably stuck in the cassette.
Open the flap on the cassette and have a look

If it stays on all the time presumably it will drain your battery aswell?

Solar will cope with any drain, will have a proper look tomorrow......just weird its took 3 years to start working
