Thetford Toilet broken

Blade fell in container on opening!,I managed to (after cleaning out ) remove by detaching large circular plate on top of container turning anticlockwise there's a little arrow on it that lines up with a dot on body , I found bracket snapped of which had 3 posts on it with 3 screws holding it underside of plate, I removed screws ,holding broken bracket in line where it had snapped off I drilled through right circular plate, got some longer counter sunk screws and nuts and bolted from top ( after countersinking top plate) finished " just on time" !!

Buy a refresher kit it will Include a new seat as well if it fails again

When I had a similar sort of problem, in our case it jammed the cassette in situ too, which was a real pain up the side of an Austrian mountain!

Anyway, got it fixed but also purchased a whole new mechanism for about £40, which we still carry as a spare for emergency use - even though we've now got a different van, but the loo is the same model as before.
