Noticed that the new cassettes have wheels and an extendable handle (most models) are they any good at all or no real benefit ? we have the older version and will add a second back up cassette in our kit this year, noticed the older versions are cheaper are our MH dealer.

Ours is a C200 type

I find them too low to pull along - 6' 3" and find it hurts my back to turn and lean back. The wheels I have seen on some are really battered due to rolling on gravel etc and not really usable anymore. I just carry it to where I need to, or drive

I have wheels and a handle.... as previous post, waste of time... I just carry - much quicker and more comfortable

Sounds like i'll just pick up the cheaper, old model then.

I use the wheely version, no problem but depends on the ground, here on the site in Beni it works fine.
Cheers
Ed

Is there an older non wheeled cassette version that is compatible with the C260?

no good on anything but a flat paved surface.

We have the wheely version too but as SWMBO deals with it, I never have a problem (y)

New cassettes??

I’m struggling to remember when they didn’t.
Must be a good few years since we had one without.

Secret is, try and empty every day before it gets too heavy. (y):)

Richard.

We have a wheels!

I wheel it when I can and carry over bad surfaces. Personally I prefer having the option but wheels/no wheels wouldn’t be a deal breaker.

if anybody wants a c200 i have a very clean little used one looking for £50 plus posting

Being a weak and feeble woman , I am very glad of the wheels and handle !

But the real strength is only needed when you unscrew the cap, i choke on it and my wife just gets on with it without saying a word, she says she has put up with my s*&t for years:censored:

I like the wheels and have used them on various surfaces

Biggest drawback is the ones with wheels have a reduced capacity by around 1½ Lt, it think could be a life or death situation if you are desperate.

Only use the wheels when its full to the brim and a flat surface even then live in fear of the skinny handle sapping.

That seals it, old cassette it is then.

Not read through, but as the just over 5' woman whose job it is they are brilliant. Present van doesn't have wheels, so I use a trolley, a full casette can be pretty heavy, and some emptying points are a looong way from pitches.

Handy for pulling it through to departures and fits fine in the over head lockers.

the cheapest way to buy a new cassette is in a freshen up kit about £80 online. includes cassette, new toilet seat and chemicals
