1 day!
Hi guys
I have recently acquired 3-year-old MH with a Thetford cassette toilet. I had assumed that a red light would show (on the button flush panel?) when the toilet cassette was nearly full; however that is not the case. Using a hose, I filled the unit to the very top, but to no avail. I wonder if anybody else has encountered this situation and if so, what the fix might be?
Many thanks
Craig

Mine has never worked but iI installed it myself and did not connect the wire, no need for a red light for me as I usually empty it daily when on any sites. You can always have a peek at it anyway to see how much crap there is in it.:)

Could be the magnet float missing inside cassett.

During the summer ours gave a false reading, just shook the cassette and all was fine the indicators are back and working

The float could just be bunged up, the last time that I jet washed the inside of my cassette I took the float part out.

Thank you and you may well be right Manic; but I wonder could you elaborate a little and how it might be replaced?

Just unscrew the centre part of the cassette and lift it all out and clean it with a jet wash, mine was all plastic so not sure about any magnets.

Thank you, I'll try that

In seriousness IMO its a bit of a crap indicator anyway (see what I did then?) . I'd much rather have an orange or flashing light at 75% and the solid red light at 90% (or however much 2 or 3 wees would be).

We’ve got a fuse in the bottom locker were the cassette is yours might have blown.

Obviously a thread for those with a toilet obsession. Still, a good read.

For years I wasn't even aware there was a red light - until of course one day it came on..........................................!
