Just spent an overnight at the Old Posting House, Deanscales, nr Cockermouth, Cumbria.
It is a bit of a Gastro Pub but with a pleasant atmosphere, good food, decent beer and a good selection of spirits, especially the ubiquitous Gin.
You can stay overnight on their car park where there are two spaces that are level and easy to park a motorhome. All the car park is available to motorhomes though slightly sloping in places. Hardstanding and easy to access. Some road noise.
Cockermouth is the birthplace of William Wordsworth and has a museum dedicated to him in “Wordsworth House”.
