Just looking
Hello. We are currently caravanners, and at the early stages of a possible 'defection' to MoHoming - have recently seen the new Itineo PJ700, which looks 'interesting'? Thoughts? European pricing suggests that UK pricing should be c.£48/49k new...

Hi There - :welcome4:

Just had to reply to you - we were very interested in the Itinoe 740 I think it was - had a rear little lounge and bunk beds for the kids. We had just about made up our minds that was what we wanted and arranged to go and look at one at the NEC show in 2016. Unfortunately we were really disappointed with the quality of it, we were pretty gutted. One really bizarre 'feature' was just one plug socket in the entire van and in order to use this you have to leave the cutlery draw open - so weird. We asked the sales person about it and she seemed as nonplussed as us but said extra socket could be optional extra!!
Ended up looking at what we couldn't afford at the Burstner stand and they had a deal on that we took advantage of - not an A class obviously but its been a beautiful van - can't wait to see her again!!!

Hello. good evening and welcome. The van looks fit for purpose other than the lack of 240 V and 12v sockets! Mine has 5 12 volt and 6 240 v sockets in the habitation area alone and a 12v and 240 outlet in the boot and an external shower! Not essential as you can always plug/unplug but a serious omission !

Hi and :welcome3:

Itineo is Rapido's budget brand, which is fine.

I hadn't realised they did standard coachbuilts, I thought Itineo - in the UK - were just A-class?

The layout of the PJ700 looks OK. But, yes, Rapido do seem stingy with mains sockets. We've only got one in our Rapido V68, which has a similar layout with fixed twin single longitudinal beds at the back, but in a panel van conversion and only 6.4 metres long.

Rapido have budget van conversion brand - Dreamer - and we thought the build quality of those looked fine - we would certainly have been happy to have one. But I haven't ever seen inside an Itineo. The group generally is well regarded, however.

Guess you really need to see one in the flesh, so to speak. Good luck! (y)

Welcome Hilge!

Built by Rapido so you can be assured of the quality in the areas you can't see which in many ways is more important than what you can see.
Good fresh and grey waste tank capacities.
Well priced but that will increase with the optional Life & Elite packs- which will also reduce what you can carry as will an optional wind out awning if desired.
No oven or grill but again a dealer may be able to fit one which will cost around £400 fitted and bring your payload further down, possibly to about 470kg which isn't really recommended for a 4 berth van if you actually want a 4 berth and plan on taking anyone with the both of you.
Ablutions are a little disappointing for a 7m van, I'd expect an enclosed separate shower. Bit of a climb for both beds. The interior looks a bit cramped for a van if it's length.

Citroen chassis, no auto option.

I'd keep looking. If 50 -55k is your price range, off the top of my head consider Sunliving, Sunlight, Chausson, the Carrado T447 is proving popular, Auto Trail F70's are selling well too., etc. There's also a fine selection of young pre loved offerings out there.

Hi and welcome to the fun house. 🤪

The Itineo range are the 'budget' end of Rapido and thus there is a lot of stuff that isn't included as standard so by the time you add them in it can easily take the price as high, if not higher, than buying the non-budget version. You definitely need to check this as for example the drop down and dinette beds are optional extras, so the only beds you get otherwise is the ones at the rear. The water tank is only 100L which is okay but not as big as a lot of others etc. It may seem a good value MH but I doubt it will be anywhere below £50k in the UK, possibly nearer £60k and there are a lot of other MHs out there of a similar, or lower price, likely with better spec.

However, that's not to say the Itineo isn't a good MH, just do your homework first and the best place to start is to join as a subscriber as you can then access the excellent "Buyer's Guide" in the resources section which is free to paid members.

We defected too, best thing we ever did! Welcome.
