On and off for many years.
when comparing insurance for the motorhome.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club is coming in at £100 cheaper than the quote from @AIBinsurance (and yes I did deduct the breakdown cover premium before comparing).

That is just the second quote I've managed to get. I know there is more than price to consider but £100 is a lot of money.

Directline useless as I couldn't tell them the cost of conversion over and above the base vehicle!!!!!! That's okay if you self convert but for a standard "off the peg" mainstream motorhome from a well known manufacturer then who knows what the conversion cost was - it will be a trade secret!

Insurance due on 2nd May but I need to get it done asap as my Dad is very poorly in to go hospital and I need to go down on Monday in the van. Not sure how long I will be away - and most of that time I will be in the hospital.

C&MC have nearly always been the best pricing \ cover for us. Easy to deal with, as well albeit (furiously touching wood!) not had to claim but reports seem to indicate they are effective in that area.

We found Comfort cheapest BUT weren’t in MMHC at the time.

Probably worth a call before you sign on the dotted line.

Good luck with your dad.

What's MMHC?

I swopped from comfort to CAMC three years ago as they were much dearer, then two years ago I swopped to CACC who offered a better deal altogether and was a little cheaper Also this year my premiums have gone down by £22..
