Hi all,

Just been on to my insurance company, Caravan Guard, to ask about temp; drivers as I am looking to sell my Devon Tempest and trade up. (see ad on classifieds this website).
Good job I did as I am now aware that the MH is not covered during a test drive, pretty obvious as I am a solo driver on the policy, however, an approx. cost would be £40.00 for a one week temp named driver. How many people risk their MH and other complications as they would only be covered third party?

Hope this is an eye opener as something that needs to be taken seriously.
Your views would be appreciated.

Have a good weekend.

Most buyers are quite happy for you to drive them around in the van, I've never had one that wasn't. With the amount of money involved most buyers will understand the risk and understand why.
The other option is they pay for the insurance cover and you refund it if they buy, but at 40 quid unlikely to happen.
