So my tap saga continues! Having had the kitchen tap looked at twice it still is intermittently working 😥!

what’s worse is we are at the Eurotunnel for our holidays!

The tap is a reicht mixer tap with cartridge and micro switch. when you open it some water comes out then it stops.

the bathroom taps etc are all fine!

so has anyone got any ideas what could be the problem? Initially it was though water had dropped onto the wires but this was fixed. It did work when we got it home from repairs but having set off its gone off again!

May get it repaired on route somewhere if it’s an easy fix!

Argh no we can’t not with the kitchen tap.

we can hear it with the bathroom tap!

Microswitch gone on the kitchen tap, use the bathroom till you get back!(y)

Great thanks!! If we can get it replaced on route we will if not bathroom tap will have to suffice!! Cheers I knew someone would know!

Just crack the bathroom tap open enough to start the pump, then you will get a flow at the kitchen tap.

Yep it's going to be the micro switch. You might be able to adjust it if you can get to it

Oh brilliant I never thought of that! We will pull into a Narbonne accessories tomorrow and if they can’t do it we will just manage! We are almost away a month so I would prefer it working but it’s not a big deal!

Could be a broken wire to the micro switch, sometimes you can solder them.

When you put those taps back together unless to get the route for the wires through the tap absolutely right they can break again after just a few operations.
My washbasin tap kept going I admitted defeat and fitted a Shurflow pressure pump, goodby microswtches.

if wires are easily accessed then just add a switch to join them together. That will operate the pump, until you get new tap.
