We drove across via Denmark and Sweden and up into Norway in May this year. We had enough wine on board to cover our personal use for the intended 5-7 week tour. I think it was about 24 bottles and 5x 5litre boxes. However most was buried under tins and packets of food. We survived and did buy some food in the local supermarkets, but it was eye wateringly expensive.

And of course that's if we are like Norway in the EU almost if we were totally out of everything it would be a lot more involved. We travelled over the pyrinees from Spain to France there was a lot of cross border shopping there too and of course there is now from southern England to France. The difference is the limit on what we can bring back it's likely to go back to very little depending on what happens.

We were surprised at just how relaxed / lax they were, we crossed at the border where they have the x ray machine in the video

Norway has ‘strict’ pet controls, which we complied with, but they made no attempt to stop us or direct us to a checkpoint, there was an armed female who we smiled at as we passed through

They must just depend on the fear of being challenged to keep the problems under control

I have even informed by my friends who are Crufts judges that Norway has a virus that is killing dogs. He was due to judge in Norway 2 weeks ago and it was cancelled I don’t know what this will mean for those of you that are taking dogs in to Norway. You could check with Crufts for more information.

Swings and roundabouts, fuel is cheap, we paid the equivalent of less than £1 a litre in Denmark earlier this month. There's around 12 Krone to the pound, diesel was 10.7 - 10.9 all the way up the west coast and if you shop in Tesco over here the Aldi's are no more expensive.
