Tad on the Big size!

Camping KRK, it’s like a 5* hotel😁

Been there too. Possibly the best and cleanest toilet, shower, and cassette emptying facilities we've come across.

A woman member of staff was on duty all day, on the toilet facilities.

A smashing site in general, but I'll bet it's quite expensive in peak periods. We were on ACSI prices.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Quite a place ,I don’t like camp sites but I can see why that’s a favourite 😳

Definitely spotless Jock.
We were frontline pitch and next to the dog beach so pups could swim without any annoying humans😁😁
Good restaurant and shop, nice walk around the water’s edge through the woods into KRK town.

Sorry ...I watch a lot of courtroom dramas 🤣🤣🤣 . I love the cross examinations 🤣🤣.
Don't watch Judge Judy as you'll get addicted, some stuff people claim for is plain daft and she loves taking the pee.😄

If we are ever in the area it's one i'll be looking to get on.
I booked 11 months in advance for frontline pitch but you may be lucky on the day if not the other pitches are a good size , one thing I did notice on the Croatian sites they give you a better size than Italian ones🤔🤔

We don't normally either, but at the time it was illegal to wild camp anywhere in Croatia, and there weren't any recognised MH stopovers. ☹️

Adriatic Camping were taking over a number of run down sites, and investing in them quite heavily. It was March/April time when we were there back in 2016, and sites were just starting to open.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Second row back was the closest we could get, but very tight with it and really noisy Italians too, so we moved up the site a bit, and had a whole 6 x pitch cul-de-sac to ourselves. 👍

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Yes had to have words with 4 German blokes in a tiny caravan on the pitch behind us 🤬🤬🤬they must have known each other very very well as they were big blokes and the caravan van was a little 2 berth 🤔🤔

Similar to the Concorde “liner”near to me in Slovenia
Aye I'm unlikely to take my Flair down some of the roads I took this one either. Don't want it all scorched
This was parked near to me, mine, An Elddis Autoquest 155 (2015) is in the background to the left. It is on a CZ plate. Several step stop gdown to get out, Concorde "liner" Could not fit in the standard pitch on the site, on 28th July this year, adjacent to the Ptuj in Slovenia swimming complex which is also huge and free from the campsite

Looks amazing, defo on the 'to go' list!!

Camping Krk is indeed a lovely spot but isnt it where some expensive Motorhomes got blown over by freak weather a couple of years ago?

I just read that as Captain Kirk! 😆

Have you seen the vehicle details on DVLA website: 13 litre engine, weight is 26 tonnes.

Interesting that its registered as an Actros, another DVLA/dealer cockup perhaps?

13 litres is fairly normal for larger truck engines these days. Anything over 2 litres these days instantly brings up Fuel Consumption. The thing that people dont understand about truck engines is the difference in power characteristics, even though they're advertised as BHP its actually more about Torque. Our MAN chassised Mh has a 7 litre engine and weighs 8.6t, most modern Mh's of a similar size are on an Iveco Daily chassis and use a 3 litre engine to keep them under 7.5t, yet the fuel consumption is pretty similar because our bigger engine spends more time in Top gear at lower revs due to its higher torque.

Could they not reverse in to the left as it looks like the road goes that way then just drive in straight??🤔🤔
