Hello knowledgeable Funsters.
I have inherited a bank of three TAB branded batteries (120ah) and a faded label tells me they are pasted, and also semi traction.
Don't know much about TAB brand or Paste in batteries beyond a quick Google....
Anyone enlighten me with personal knowledge?
Thanks.
Forgot to also ask... Should they be set up as flooded or gel batteries on the solar. Previous owner used gel setting.

The paste is lead oxide on the positive plate, often called active material. Classic method of construction. Tab are good medium brand in motive and stationary power, based in Slovenia. The settings depend on type of battery. Are they sealed or open cells? If they sealed mild gassing voltage 14,2-14,4v max. If open can go as high as 14,7v.
