My step daughteris relocating from Leeds to Amsterdam. She has a one year old Weimaraner dog, and is worried about the logistics of getting him over the North Sea on the ferry.

We know that the hull to Rotterdam crossing is the quickest , but can anyone help with timings, food, wee's, kennel or car ??,

Any advise please as she is getting stressed, not about her new job as sales manager for Levi in Benelux, but getting 'Vinnie' to the new house....named after Vinnie Jones, middle name 'Keegan' ......

As always thanks for your constructive comments...!!!!!!!!!!

not long enough
I cant see me reducing her concerns, the crossing is about 16 hours, during which time you are not allowed back on to the car deck. There are kennels on the car deck, only ever seen them used by continental lorry drivers and they looked grim

Best bet send stuff over that way and drive right round via Chunnel, or if crossing not already booked, just drive right round, the van and driver could always come back to Hull if appropriate

Are you seriously not allowed to see to the dog for the whole crossing???

I'd leave the dog with friends and fly back and get it later.
