Midges? They don't do midges they do Mozzies.

We went, with a Mozzie net for over the bed, that we never needed. The only Mozzies we encountered were on a drizzly day, walking in a forest in Sweden. The Mozzies, there, seemed to like Martin more than me.

We did spend most of our time in Sweden, and Norway, in warmer than normal conditions though.
Hi Judith what time of year were you there? would love to avoid mossies

We went to Sweden first in July and then travelled up through Sweden to enter northern Norway. We hardly saw a mozzie, except for the damp forest walk I mentioned.

Our trip can be seen in the link in my signature.

In the absence of signs prohibiting parking are there any general laws against wild parking in either Norway or Sweden?
Like Scotland, there is a misunderstanding about 'Wild Camping' in Sweden.
Freedom to overnight stay only applies to people travelling by man/woman power not engines.
Should you overnight, everything should be kept within the vehicle, just like on Aires.

The above rule in Sweden (and probably elsewhere) is not usually enforced, but can be!

PS. There is an article about travelling to and in Scandinavian Countries in next months MMM magazine.
