My Peugeot based van has TPM's. The Van has now done some 19 k miles and there is more wear on the front tyres than the back .I have a new spare under the rear of the van, untouched and I traded another new spare with a funster a couple of years ago ,all tyres are the same type, continentals.
I want to put the new spares on the front but need to keep the TPM's in place.I will have to find a freindly garage to take off the tyres from the spares and swap them to the fronts, keeping the TPM's at the right corners.
I will then put the part worn tyres back on the rims, one as a spare under the rear and one as a back up.
Anyone done this,? Are the TPM's robust enough to allow these changes.?
