After years truck driving the thing I miss most is the exterior wrap round blue sun visor. Any ideas if they can be bought . Or made. If so where could I buy the plastic. O k, I know it's wetland or rile atthe moment, but trust me, the sunny weather is very very near,:Eeek::Eeek::Eeek::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

You can buy Acrylic ones which fit externally but they are over £200

dave you see loads in spain .
think we all have thought about them .
i keep looking in the scrap yards but havent found one over there yet.

All old Mercs had them fitted in Germany. All old Spanish trucks had them fitted. The only ones I have seen are specific to new trucks and damned expensive.
Its a bit like the Merc dog kennel engine cover I was after. Have seen loads of them till I wanted one, then all gone. I finally got one made when I had the makeover. Looks like I will have to try and get a visor made....but where.

Get an A-class MH. You are so far from the windscreen that the sun never reaches you

It does when you have the windscreen from an Iveco Superstar.

Dave, slightly OT, but picking up on your first post; do you have details of where you bought your dog-kennel cover from?

Been looking for one of those myself and nothing so far.

I had it made by CaraVancare in Birmingham when they did the re upholstery. I had it made from leather to match the upholstery. It made a huge difference to reducing engine noise and then I stapled carpet underlay on the underside of the dash in the engine compartment. I cant hear the engine running now.

All the links are for specific model visors. I am looking for a one fits all.
